Samsaara Yoga Association established in the year 2016, in Lake Town of Kolkata city of West Bengal, India. Actually, it established long ago, in the year 1980, with the name of ‘ Modern yoga and Physiotherapy clinic’ in Kolkata. The founder of the original institute was Late Sri Tulshidas Mukhopadhyay, the father of the present administrator and therapist, Sri Subhasis Mukhopadhyay. We changed the name to “Samsaara Yoga Association” when we focused on Yoga based therapy and counseling institute and changed the location from Baranagar to Lake Town.
We are primarily an institute for the service of therapeutic Yoga and physical medicine. A part of that, we also provides group Yoga classes and yoga teacher training programme. We also conduct .edutainment practice for the well being mind and to harmonize various pathological mental conditions.
Location: It is located at the heart of North Kolkata- Lake Town area. Communication by Metro, Bus and Train is easy and comfortable. Airport is also just 4 km away from the institute. There is a beautiful and well maintained Lake and a garden is just opposite of the premise.

Our Teaching Principles
- Creating the awareness of body and mind.
- Better asana, pranayama, meditation practice for the disease free healthy body and harmonius peaceful mind.
- Focus on each asana for a balanced flexibility of each body parts and a general improvement of strength and stamina.
- We do specifically take care of yoga practitioner with physical disorders and mental instability.
- Using props and other yoga instruments to facilitate safe yoga practice at the same time gaining the benefits of the practice.
- Breath and pranayama practice is our primary attention. If somebody breath good, he must achieve an overall good health.
- Our teachers are well qualified and dedicated to the well being and holistic development of the students. They are aligned with the principle of yoga and the vision of the Samsaara Yoga Institute.
- Often we organized workshops and discussion sessions with the students and we invite people for professional areas and field of social work.
- Karma yoga through the social service is our responsibility. We do teach free yoga lessons and also free yoga teacher training for the underprivileged children and yoga aspirants. Educate people more then training, is the best social service and we believe in this universal thought.

Few words from the founder of Samsaara Yoga:
I started practicing yoga and meditation from early childhood with my father Late Sri Tulshidas Mukhopadhyay. I have seen my grandpa , Late Sri Sudhir Mukhopadhyay was doing meditation in his ashram. Yoga become my life passion not by my choice but as a natural flow. It seems to me that I am born for it. I started practicing yoga as a hobby and now it's my passion for self discovery. I do teach yoga for the main two purpose: one - to heal the people from physical and mental illness , and second- bring out the love of life itself amid the turbulence of anxiety and social stress. I wish , people would lead a happy life among the temptations of desire and continuous bombardment of social media informations. All the answers of life is within us to make right decision on right time, but for that reason, need the calmness of the mind. Yoga is the undoubtedly best tool for it.
